This new territory is poised to more than double the resort’s current skiable terrain, propelling it into the position of the fourth-largest ski area in the nation. Launched on January 1, the East Village features two operational lifts and an expanding roster of slopes, with a third lift to be added in quick succession. The initial offering includes 20 freshly opened East Village runs, which altogether cover roughly 300 acres.
Notably, a new six-seat bubble lift, aptly named the Keetley Express, features heated seats and serves as the main access point for skiers re-entering the resort’s Snow Park base. The integration of the East Village with existing runs is facilitated by an extended beginner route named McHenry, providing seamless access to both seasoned and novice skiers alike. As Deer Valley progresses with its expansion, Phase 2 promises the addition of nearly 100 new runs along with a gondola and several other lifts.
